During an appearance on the Jalen & Jacoby podcast, four-time All-Star DeMarcus Cousins believes that every player in the Los Angeles Lakers locker room will be disciplined and will not violate the safety protocol inside the Orlando bubble. Cousins did not log in a single minute for the purple-and-gold this season, but he knows that his former teammates will be extra focused on winning it all.

In addressing the possibility that NBA players will eventually break the rules in the bubble, Cousins had this bold statement for his answer:

“I can speak for the team (Lakers) I was with this season, and I would say everybody in that locker room will stick to it.,” Cousins told podcast hosts Jalen Rose and David Jacoby.

After only a week of being in the campus, there are reports saying that some players are already not following the safety protocol. The NBA has reprimanded Houston Rockets’ Bruno Caboclo and Sacramento Kings’ Richaun Holmes of breaking the quarantine rules.

Shams Charania of The Athletic also recently reported that anonymous tips within the bubble have informed the league on the names of other players violating the safety protocol.

Going back to Cousins and the Lakers, it’s unfortunate that the big man’s injury derailed his stint with the team. But Cousins has already established a good rapport with stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, so there’s the possibility that he might still join the team next season.
