It might be all over before it even starts for Beasley and the Nets. Shams Charania of The Athletic recently reported that the lefty scoring forward has tested positive for COVID-19, an unfortunate development that could derail his stint with the Nets.

This is a disappointing turn of events for the Nets, who are coming in with a heavily-depleted roster. They are already without injured stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, while also missing key services from DeAndre Jordan, Taurean Prince, Spencer Dinwiddie and Wilson Chandler.
In need for more depth on their roster, the Nets signed Beasley, Tyler Johnson and Jamal Crawford for the season restart. But with Beasley contracting the virus in the bubble, it is not a sure thing if he could still come back and suit up for Brooklyn.
