CUSHION and SUPPORT

Just like its predecessor, the Nike PG 5 is also infused with full length Air Strobel, which is visible at the back part of the outsoles. The Air Strobel cushion technology is designed to serve all points of contact with the court.

The full-length Air Strobel offers good response and compression, boosting the pair’s comfort when running and jumping. The Air Strobel’s excellent compression is reinforced with soft Phylon midsole, thick and stable insoles, and Zoom Air unit beneath the insoles for maximum comfort and compression.

Without any question, the integration of cushion technologies in this pair really offers a good response and comfort. However, its predecessor, the Nike PG 4, still offers better response and bounce. On the good note, the Nike PG 5 offers better court feel compared to the prior. Basically, the pair is a combination of good court feel and compression.

Just like the Nike PG 4, this new pair is also bombarded with paddings in the ankle area and some sort of memory foam in the tongue tab that add stability and security. A notable additional feature of the pair is the implementation of peaks, just like in the Air Jordan 7, to reinforce the leather and boost the pair’s lockdown and lateral containment.
