It’s official: the Nike Giannis Freak 6 will hit sneaker markets in August 2024.
Nike has officially unveiled the all-new Giannis Freak 6.
This is the sixth Nike signature shoe of Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. It’s a dynamic partnership that started when the two-time NBA MVP signed with Nike in 2013.
The Giannis Freak 6 focuses on quickness and stability, two crucial elements of Giannis’s play style. Here are some of the reported technologies on Giannis’s new shoe:
- Air Zoom unit on the forefoot
- Nike Cushlon 2.0 foam
- TPU midsole
- Lightweight mesh
What immediately stands out here is the Cushlon 2.0 foam. Cushioning has always been a strength of Giannis’s line. We saw that in the Nike Zoom Freak 4. Even its budget counterpart Giannis Immortality provided adequate cushioning to hoopers.
As of today, the release date of the Giannis Freak 6 is set for August 16, 2024. There will be two colorways right from the get-go. The first is the black-volt iteration called “Naija”, while the other is the “Roses” colorway.
Giannis was seen wearing the “Roses” colorway during Greece’s recent exhibition game against Serbia. He will lead the Greek national basketball team in the upcoming Olympic Games Paris 2024 starting July 26th.
