WNBA star Caitlin Clark was seen playing in her first Nike Kobe 5 Protro PE.
Finally, we have witnessed Caitlin Clark donning her first Nike Kobe PE.
The Indiana Fever’s prized rookie showed off her Nike Kobe 5 Protro PE during a recent team practice.
Clark’s Kobe 5 Protro PE is dominated by black and yellow colors. These are the same colors that she wore during her productive collegiate stint with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Coincidentally, these are almost the same colors of the Fever, her team in the WNBA.
Clark reportedly signed an eight-year, $28-million deal with Nike in April 2024. It’s the most luxurious sponsorship contract for a women’s basketball player, according to AP News. It’s not just Nike who was interested in reeling her in; PUMA, Under Armour, and Adidas also held discussions with Clark’s team.
Fans are still anticipating a signature shoe for Clark, though. In September 2023, the Swoosh brand launched the Nike Sabrina 1, the first signature shoe of New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu.
More recently, Nike announced the official logo of Las Vegas Aces two-time MVP A’ja Wilson. A launch date for Wilson’s signature shoe should just be around the corner.
Clark, 22, is a frontrunner for the WNBA Rookie of the Year award. She’s averaging all-around numbers of 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 1.5 steals. The Fever is currently 7th in the standings, holding a decent 11-15 record.
