The Nike Ja 2 is set for an October 2024 launch date.
The Nike Ja 2 will hit the shoe racks later this year.
According to Sneaker News, the newest Morant signature shoe is set for an October 2024 launch date. It will come in a vibrant “Stargazer” colorway. This features a bright purple and black combination, along with the white Swoosh logo.
B/R Kicks gave us a sneak peek at the new Nike Ja 2:
The Ja 2 is a combination of throwback and innovative vibes. You can immediately see the ripple effects surrounding the Swoosh logo. Plus, it features a higher cut than the low-cut Nike Ja 1.
Let’s see if the Nike Ja 2 brings the excellent elements from its predecessor. The Ja 1 flaunted phenomenal traction and high-energy return. It lacked impact protection, so people hope the Ja 2 solves that problem.
The new shoe ushers in a new chapter for Morant. Injuries and a 25-game suspension marred his NBA campaign last season. He only played 9 games, with the Grizzlies missing the playoffs after three consecutive runs.
With that said, Morant will be fully healthy entering next season. He’ll join an intriguing Grizzlies core that includes Jaren Jackson Jr., Desmond Bane, and Marcus Smart. They also drafted the 7-foot-4 Zach Edey, a rookie who could log quality minutes for the Grizzlies.
