Previous Games: Phoenix lost to San Miguel, 108-104; Terrafirma lost to San Miguel, 131-103

As is their issue throughout this conference, taking care of the ball has been a huge reason for Phoenix’s offensive woes. They had a total of 21 turnovers in each of their last two games, and they’re leading the league in miscues (league-worst 18.2 turnovers). With a winnable game against the hapless Terrafirma, the Fuel Masters have a great opportunity to fix what’s broken and fine-tune their ball movement.

A win against Terrafirma would bump their record up to 6-6, boosting their chances of advancing to the quarterfinals.

Previous Games: San Miguel won against Terrafirma, 131-103; TNT lost to Bay Area, 140-108

It has certainly gotten from bad to worse for the Tropang Giga. The embarrassing 32-point defeat to Bay Area was a dampener to their playoff hopes, as they now have to win their remaining game against San Miguel and hope that the other playoff-chasing teams suffer losses. The road gets even bumpier as SMB is returning to full strength, with June Mar Fajardo (20 points, 9 rebounds) turning in an impressive outing after a seven-game absence.

TNT is missing a key cog with Jayson Castro ruled out for the rest of the conference. Poy Erram, Kelly Williams, and a brilliant team effort could contain Fajardo and Devon Scott at the block, but the Beermen’s depth might just be too much for the Tropang Giga. This might just be a lost conference for head coach Chot Reyes and his troopers.
