Started in 2014, the Jordan brand’s Wings Program set an education and mentorship platform to give an equal playing field opportunity to the undeserved youth. This movement has partnered with 30 global organizations to provide 1,800 full-ride college scholarships to deserving and high-achieving students in North America and Greater China.
This iteration of the Air Jordan 5 Low signals the brand’s desire to expand the Wings program as the Jumpman team added 32 scholarship recipients from the Class of 2024.
The Air Jordan 5 Low Wings “Class of 2020-2021” is infused with black nylon uppers with butter-soft leather overlays atop black midsoles and translucent outsoles with gold and black feather graphics. The pair also features 3M reflective tongue, gold teeth, and smoke black netting.
To emphasize the pair’s commemoration to the Class of 2020-2021, the lateral portion of the pair is branded with 20 and 21 along with special Wings hangtag, graduation tassels, gold badged in the insoles, and Jordan Wings Class of 2021 branding at the back of the tongue.
The Air Jordan 5 Low Wings “Class of 2020-2021” is expected to be available this coming May. Pairs will be up for grabs at selected Nike stores for US$175.
