Today’s sneaker menu is headlined by a new iteration of the iconic Nike Air Max Penny 1.
A new iteration to Penny Hardaway's first signature shoe
Penny Hardaway, a four-time NBA All-Star, is one of the first basketball stars to ink a signature line with Nike. During the height of his glory days in the NBA, Nike gifted him the Air Max Penny 1 — Hardaway’s first signature shoe with the Swoosh brand.
The Nike Air Max Penny 1 has been releasing new colorways up to this date, with the latest being the “Faded Spruce” colorway. This dark-themed iteration will flaunt a color scheme composed of Black, Faded Spruce, Anthracite, and Dark Pony.
Moreover, Nike mixed up the materials on Penny 1’s upper. The upper of the Air Max Penny 1 includes different leather, nubuck, mesh, and suede portions. The shoe’s signature “1 cent” branding can also be found on the heel and outsole.
There’s no exact date yet regarding the colorway release, but expect it to be within this year. The Nike Air Max Penny 1 “Faded Spruce” comes with a retail price tag of USD 170.
