Kenneth Mocon grabbed his share of the spotlight when he was selected in the recently-concluded 2021 PBA Draft. What people don’t know about him is that he has his own basketball clinic where he personally teaches young aspiring hoopers.

Kenneth Mocon has his own basketball clinic called the HOOP3XPERT.
Once a holdover in the San Beda Red Lions’ Team B, Kenneth Mocon never let doubts and criticisms hinder him from reaching his bigger goals. He told us his inspiring story about his difficult journey from being just a virtually-unknown player to his jump to the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL), and now being selected by the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the recent 2021 PBA Draft.
Aside from playing hoops, Kenneth also enjoys teaching the game to young aspiring basketball players. He has his own basketball clinic called HOOP3XPERT, where he elevates his students’ dribbling techniques.
To learn more about HOOP3XPERT, we asked Kenneth regarding his goals for his students, along with the pricing for each session.
HOOP3XPERT GOALS
KENNETH: I want to produce hardworking players with the mindset of outworking everyone in their path towards becoming the best. It’s my mission to instill courage and confidence in my players without them having the fear of making mistakes. It’s the only way I could bring out the best in them.
How would each training session look like?
KENNETH: Each session will be about two hours long. I’ll check on your handles in the first session, then I’ll create an intensive eight-day program based on my assessment. This program will be focused on the things we need to fix in your dribbling techniques, as well as what areas you need to improve on.
How much would each session cost?
KENNETH: Each two-hour session will cost only Php500 pesos, exclusive of transportation expenses and court rental. Due to the fact that I cannot rent a court because of the pandemic, each player needs to have a court-for-rent ready. So it’s better if you can invite a friend or two so that you can share on the transportation and court expenses.
What are your requirements for each player?
KENNETH: HOOP3XPERT caters to players from ages 10 and above. As long as you love basketball and you have the personal drive to improve, I’m willing to teach you.
Kenneth was selected in the third round of the 2021 PBA Draft. He formerly played for the Davao Occidental Tigers in MPBL, and now he will suit up for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, where he will team up with his brother, Javee Mocon.
