The Space Jam Fever is here! As the newest Space Jam movie is already up in the theaters, Nike has released special Space Jam merchandise and sneakers. And the fun doesn’t stop there as the original Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” is now up for auction.
The auction is spearheaded by Sotheby’s, a British-founded American multinational corporation based in New York City.
This player sample Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” was originally designed to be worn by Michael Jordan for the 1996 version of Space Jam. However, this pair was kept and preserved. The pair is still in deadstock condition with yellow outsoles due to the translucent materials and age.
What made the pair very valuable is that it is signed by none other than “His Airness”. Jordan’s signature appears on the left shoe in silver ink. To conclude, this size 13 Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” comes with special custom wood and velvet box with laser-etched Tune Squad logo graphics.
The highest bid as of the moment is US$75,000 and is projected to climb up to US$150,000 to US$200,000 by the end of the event.
The auction will last until July 26. For interested buyers, you may place your bid here.
