After releasing several lifestyle pairs from his shoe line with Jordan Brand, NBA star Russell Westbrook will receive a rendition from Nike’s sub-brand, Converse, through the Russell Westbrook X Converse Chuck 70 “Why Not?”.

Known as one of the most explosive and hardest working players on the court, Westbrook is also famous for his unique fashion statement. From head to toe, the 31-year-old guard seems like he will never run out of wardrobe ideas. Now, the nine-time All-Star has been rewarded by Nike of a Jordan sub-label of his own.
The Russell Westbrook x Converse Chuck 70 “Why Not?” will dress in a simple color scheme. The uppers will be featured in smooth leather instead of the traditional canvas material that was used in a lot of Converse pairs, and will be crammed with embroidered broken-chains designs atop semi-translucent midsoles. The medial and forefoot cracking patterns nod to the concrete courts where streetball originated.
The tongue draws inspiration from the jacket that Westbrook wears, and finishes with eyelets that sport the “Why Not?” message. It also has metal details and the black Converse branding in the heel portion.
The Russell Westbrook x Converse Chuck 70 “Why Not?” is set for release on October 2. Nike has yet to reveal the price, but the pair will be available at Nike SNKRS US.
