He might be known as “Sleepy Sam”, but don’t you dare sleep on his game. The most notable description of Sam Perkins’ play is that he is a “devastating offensive” player. His southpaw shooting ability makes his plays more versatile.
He played for four playoff teams throughout his career namely: the Mavericks, Lakers, Supersonics, and the Pacers. Perkins contributed to playoff success for his teams but was not able to convert that success into a championship.
In his seventeen professional years, fifteen years of it he reached the postseason where he averaged 11.1 points per game. Not bad for someone who was drafted right after Michael Jordan.
